MOTION to approve the Mayor’s appointment of the Law Firm Shipman and Goodwin, P.C. of Hartford, Connecticut as the Town’s Attorney in accordance with Chapter VI. Section 1 of the Town Charter.

Mayor Recommendation:
The Town Attorney has left the Law Firm of Bercham Moses, P.C.
With the several pending matters the Town has, we cannot have a gap in legal representation. To that end, I’ve selected Shipman and Goodwin, P.C. as we receive a reduced rate of $220 per hour as they are also our labor attorneys. Per Chapter VI, Section 1 of the Town Charter, this selection needs to be approved by the Town Council.
