The Commission's role is to plan and control the use of parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and equipment under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Recreation Commission as well as develop and coordinate recreation programs. The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Parks & Recreation/Senior Citizens Center at 12 Van Tassel Drive, Gales Ferry. Their meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
