MOTION to appoint Mr. James Rogers, (D) 1663 Center Groton Road, Ledyard to the Planning & Zoning Commission as an Alternate Member to complete a three year term ending October 31, 2026 filling a vacancy left by Ms. Spaziani.

Background:
Mr. Rogers has a Bachelor's Degree from Thomas Edison State University in Nuclear Engineering Technology. He recently completed a PMP Prep course and will be looking to take the PMP certification exam shortly.
In addition, Mr. Rogers has applied to UCONN's Engineering Graduate Program (MEng)and hopes to start working on that this fall. I've just completed a PMP Prep course and will be looking to take my PMP certification exam shortly.
Mr. Rogers id currently employed as a Test Engineer, Specialist, at General Dynamics-Electric Boat. (See attached Resume’)
Mr. Rogers is a Veteran, serving 25 years in the Navy. He recently participated in the Run to Home Base; as he always try to pay it forward for the troops.
Mr. Rogers and his wife recently moved to Ledyard in November, 2025; and would like to be involved in the community.
Administrative Notes:
The Planning &Zoning Commission has requested Mr. Spaziani be moved from an Alternate Member to a Regular Member to fill Mr. Wood’s vacancy.
This will leave two Alternate Member vacancies.

D. Nomination of James Rogers for Planning and Zoning committee, - Comments include recently moving here, wants to be involved in the community. Holds a BS in Nuclear Engineering Technology, applying to UCONN MEng program, completed their PMP courses and going to take the certification exam.
