MOTION to appoint Ms. Victoria Ericson ( R) 85 Lambtown Road, Ledyard, as an Alternate Member to the Historic District Commission, to complete a five (5) year term ending December 6, 2028; filling a vacancy left by Ms. Roberts-Pierson.

Background
Ms. Ericson is employed as a Design Director at Augmented Construction Inc. She has a Bachelors of Architecture Degree from the Cooper Union and a Master's of Art in Scenography from Central Saint Martin's in London.
Ms. Ericson currently owns a 300 year old historic home in Ledyard, and has a background in Historic Preservation.
Ms. Ericson has been an active member of the community previously serving at the Nathan Lester House Museum as an independent contractor performing Museum Director Services. She also volunteered on the Research Committee to design a garden, and signage to be placed within the confines of the Groton Open Space Association (GOSA) Preserve on land within in the Ledyard town lines.
Ms. Ericson created children programming for the Nathan Lester House weekly Storytime event, a community Fourth of July Party, and Art Week at the museum. She has also worked with Historic District Commission Member Doug Kelley on budgeting, schedule of fees, a contract for event rentals at the museum, vision planning and the exhibit Design at the Museum. She has also worked with community partners on long term goals such as the creation of a historic apple orchard at the museum, a historic garden, and other initiatives
