Background:
Administration Committee Meeting - May 13, 2026
The Committee reviewed the changes the Town Council agreed on at their April 8, 2026 meeting and made some additional updates to the proposed Ethics Ordinance as contained in the Draft dated May 13, 2026.
Town Council Meeting - April 8, 2026:
At their April 8, 2026 meeting the Town Council reviewed residents' comments received at the March 25, 2026 Public Hearing. Based on the number of changes Chairman St. Vil referred the proposed Ordinance back to the Adminstration Committee to incorporate the suggested changes; before bringing the proposed Ordinance back to a Public Hearing.
Administration Committee Meeting - February 11, 2026
The Administration Committee reviewed the proposed Ethics Ordinance dated February 2, 2026 which was reviewed by the Town Attorney; and approved to forward it to the Town Council.
The Administration Committee continued to work on the proposed Ordinance during the November, December, and January l, 2026 to include input provided by staff, residents and the Town Attorney.
Town Council Special Meeting - October 29, 2025: By consensus the Town Council sent the proposed "An Ordinance Establishing a Town of Ledyard Code of Ethics And Ethics Commission" back to the Administration Committee.
