MOTION to approve the Mayor’s appointment of Captain Kenneth R. Creutz to Police Chief, effective as of the date of Chief Rich’s retirement of June 30, 2026; in accordance with Chapter VI; Section 7B of the Town Charter.

Background:
In accordance with Chapter VI; Per Section 7 B of the Town Charter
The Mayor shall appoint the Chief of Police subject to the approval of the Town Council If the office of the Chief of Police is vacant, the Mayor shall act as the Chief of Police until a replacement is appointed. Subject to approval by the Town Council, the Mayor may appoint an acting Chief of Police until a permanent Chief of Police is duly appointed.
