* Ms. Julie M. Brousseau (R) 1649 Route 12, Gales Ferry.
* Carol Ann Schneider (D) 101 Inchcliffe Drive, Gales Ferry

Background:

In accordance with Ordinance #100-008 "An Ordinance Establishing a Beautification Committee for the Town of Ledyard" the term limit was three years. However, when the Committee was initially established the term end date for members were not staggered to avoid all the Committee Members terms from ending at the same time.

The Beautification Committee has completed the Reappointment Request. Of the nine member Committee only three were interested in continuing to serve on the Committee.

The following six Members are not interested in serving a second term on the Committee (see attached e-mail & completed form):
* Ms. Betty Maugle
* Ms. Roberta Levandoski
* Ms. Meredith Robinson
* Ms. Bonnie Harris
* Ms. Sheila Vincent
* Ms. Jessica Buhle

Nominating Committee Recommendation:
The Beautification Committee and the members respective parties have provided reappointment recommendations/endorsements.

Minority Representation - CGS 9-167a:
In accordance with Chapter IV; Section 8 of the Town Charter "Except as otherwise provided for in this Charter, the Town Council may appoint members to fill vacancies in other offices, boards, and commissions established by this Charter and by ordinance as vacancies may occur, and appointing members to such offices, boards, and commissions as may be created in the future. Such appointments shall be made by the Town Council for such terms and upon such conditions as provided in the respective ordinance".
