Gary Paul was elected to the Town Council in 2021 and currently serves as the Chair of both the Land Use/Planning/Public Works Committee and the Community Relations Committee.
Gary has been an active member of the community previously serving on the Economic Development Commission and the Ledyard Conservation Commission where he helped run the Hike Ledyard Program.
Gary grew up in Ledyard and attended Ledyard schools. Gary has been married since 1994 and together they have raised four children ages 18-31 and are current grandparents of two grandchildren. Gary has been employed at Spicer Plus Inc for over 26 years where he manages their Advanced Heating Oil.
When not working Gary enjoys writing and playing music and spending time with family. Gary is passionate about his hometown and is a big believer in community, from outdoor movie nights on the lawn in the summer to being an advocate for Mental Health Awareness.
Gary believes in fiscal responsibility and transparency in government where listening to our neighbors in our community and open discussion are key to preserving what makes Ledyard not only a great place to live but will also help build a stronger community in the future.
