Notes: Bill Saums has served on the Ledyard Town Council since 2007. He and his wife Kathie have lived in Ledyard since 1988, with two children educated in Ledyard Public Schools. He graduated from Cornell University and earned his MBA at Northeastern. Bill is president of Centech Solutions, a consulting practice he founded after leaving AT&T in 1995 to provide management consulting services to Fortune 100 companies worldwide. He became active in public service in 1998, mentoring at-risk adolescent youth in Norwich for 7 years, and then served on Ledyard’s Economic Development Commission in beginning in 2003. He was a founding member of the Ledyard Town Center Committee, and has served on the Town Council’s Land Use Planning & Public Works, Information Technology, and Administration Committees. He is presently Finance Committee chair, he represents the Town Council during bargaining with town employee unions, and is also the Town Council’s liaison to the WPCA. Bill and his wife are active members of Ledyard Congregational Church including the Ledyard Food Pantry, and Ledyard Education Advancement Foundation. e-mail: wsaums@ledyardct.org ?
