The Regular Meeting was called to order by Chairman Marelli at 6:30 p.m.  
Also in attendance was Dennis Main, Avalonia Board President, Northern Town Committee  
Chair, Finance Committee Chair, via Zoom.

The Whitehall parking lot has been cleared by Public Works.  
Chairman Marelli went on a Scout's trail walk with Dennis Main of Avalonia Land Conservancy  
on property at Stoddard’s Wharf.  
Chairman Marelli met with the new Nathan Lester House Museum Director.

The Commission recommended that the Alliance asks for donations for a specific project.

The Commission will have a table at LEAF (Ledyard Education Advancement Foundation), a  
nonprofit that raises money for Ledyard schools, at its Back to School Bash on August 23, 2025,  
from 3;00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on the Town Green.  
There was human excrement and toilet paper near the trail at Glacier and Kettlehole parks. The  
Commission is requesting more police patrols through the parks parking lots. Also discussed  
putting up signs that say there are cameras and/or putting up cameras in the parking lot. The  
Commission will bring this report to the Town Council for advice.  
VIII. NEW BUSINESS

1.  
Ms. Graham discussed a state program in which Aquatic Invasive Species stamps sold to power  
boaters who travel in intercoastal waters and suggested that anyone who uses inland lakes and  
rivers, like kayakers, paddle boarders and those who picnic along the shore, also buy a stamp to  
support the program. The stamp is $7.00 per season.
