Newsletter was walked around and emailed
Please bear with the new postman. We still don’t have a permanent carrier. If someone
else’s mail is in your box, you may leave it on the table in the mail room or put it back in
the outgoing box with a note that it was put in the wrong box.
We have harvested zucchini, squash, and cucumbers along with some green tomatoes.
There will be tons of tomatoes coming soon.
Picnic in July was well attended so we are doing it again on August 15th - sign up sheets
are in the community room.
Ingrid - New London Youth Affairs Intern is working with us this summer and will be
holding a paper flower class on August 8th at 10:00 am.
The laundry room fees will increase to $1.50 to was and $1.50 to dry with the other
options increasing by $.25. The lease with Launderama is valid through January 2029
and the cost should not increase.
New tenant rent amounts began August 1.

Mr. Duzy stated that this was for information only they are proposing to build a 320 unit
apartment complex, a 5 story building, on the now Sweet Hills Farm. He stated that
Gales Ferry residents are not to happy about this and anyone should attend any of the
town council meetings to voice their opinion of the matter. He stated that traffic will be
much heavier with that and the Base traffic in that area. Mr. Duzy wanted everyone to
be aware and his biggest concern is the sewage. He also stated that there are meetings
coming up on the blasting of Mt. Decatur.

better.
