Daffodils:
- Chairperson Kohrs will contact April Brunelle, Town Council to inquire about the process of
making daffodil the official Ledyard flower.
- Mr. Schroeder mentioned daffodils can be dug up at Ericson Park for free.
- Chairperson Kohrs reached-out to Full Heart farm concerning the Ledyard daffodil, which
could be sold as a fundraiser, but the cost this year was thought to be too high.
- Reach-out to Ocean State Job Lot to inquire about getting seeds donated.
Earth Day (Fill the dumpster and trash and treasure art exhibition):
- To be held April 25, 2026, from 1-3 p.m. at The Bill Library, co-sponsor for the event.
Committee members are to arrive at 12:30 for set-up.
- For every bag brought, participants will get a ticket for drawing.
- Chairperson Kohrs has gift cards.
- Ms. Walsh will create a basket and will ask for donations from local businesses.
- Help is needed with promoting the event; invite friends to the event.
- Ms. Hawes will print flyers for distribution.
- Reanna Steele will be present with house plants.
- Set-up the art exhibition. Pieces are to be dropped-off by 12:30 p.m.
- Ask Mayor Fred Allyn III, or Chief Rich to be the judge.
Seed Balls:
Ms. Walsh reported that Stacey Burke is happy to partner for the seed balls. Chairperson Kohrs
asked for confirmation before the Earth Day Event so it can be advertised there.
