BOE / Schools public safety update
The remainder of the locks for Ledyard High School have been ordered, the goal is to have
the work completed by the end of summer.
Fire / EMS radio project update
Portable radios are in the process of being programmed. Chief Erhart asked what is needed
for dispatch to support our change over. Discussion will follow up with Steve Holyfield.
Chief Erhart stated gFFC purchased 14 additional portables through a state funding grant that
GFFC received.
General discussion - Ambulance transport to crisis intervention centers.

Emergency medical dispatch
Chief Mann reported a kickoff meeting occurred. Working on getting the current EMD
protocols out to the sub committee to begin.
Police department radio update
No report.

Chief Erhart recommended adding discussion n apparatus funding to this meeting.
Discussion was had regarding apparatus funding; Steve Holyfield maintains the vehicle
replacement spreadhseet and the discussion is typically handled by Steve and the two fire
chiefs.
Mayor Fred requested Outlook calendar invitations to be sent for this meeting in the future.
Chief Mann discussed the possibility or creating a fire alarm ordinance for the town to
handle multiple frequent false alarms. Discussion was had regarding the need for proper
wording and it will have to cover town buildings. Jim stated he would share some drafts
from the past when it was discussed last.
