Chairperson Report.
Chairperson Ball was unable to attend the August 5, 2026, Market and recognized the
Committee Members for taking over and doing such a great job. She gave an extra thank you to
Mr. Foltz for arriving early and setting up the Market.
Ms. Granger said there was an incident where a man wanted to drive his car through the market
to exit. He did not want to turn his car around and drive through the field. He was attending the
Rotary event on the upper green.

Mr. Thorne reported results for the 2026 Market Season (not fiscal year)

Chairperson Ball said purchasing a speak system may be a good use of funds. Mr. Foltz said he
plans to test out the Town's speaker system but didn't get a chance to do it during the August 5,
2026, market. He added that this may be a viable option as opposed to purchasing speakers.

NEW BUSINESS
Midseason Review.
Chairperson Ball asked for Committee Member's feedback on the season so far. Ms. Granger
commented that the Market could use another food truck, since some of the lines had an hour's
wait.
It was agreed that the music has been great all season, although it could be better if it was
amplified to have better reach.
There was a public comment that the Market needs to have a better variety of vendors.
Chairperson Ball responded to the comment to ask if she had any suggestions of vendors to let
her know or have the vendor contact the Market.
The Children's Market gave out 157 puppies, and all the inventory was gone by 6:30 p.m.
Chairperson Ball said more puppies will be ordered next year.
Ms. Troy has been communicating with Denison Nature Center who is interested in attending
the Market as long the booth is not placed near the music. A purchase order will need to be
created. Mr. Thorne asked about the Children's Museum and Ms. Troy answered that she has not
been able to reach anyone from the Museum to make arrangements.
Chairperson Ball suggested donating to Dune.
Sensory Friendly Market? One solution is to allow these individuals to shop early before the
music starts. More ideas were providing noise cancelling headphones or moving the food trucks
away from the live music. Remove music? Chairperson Ball said that live music is a main
attraction which she receives a lot of positive feedback on and she would not want to remove it.
Chairperson Ball suggested having either the first or last half hour of the market music-free or
with acoustic music instead. Another idea is to have one market a month music free. Another
suggestion is to have one less food truck to avoid placement near the live music. Ms. Granger
said as it is the lines are too long, so this would not be a good option. Chairperson Ball said she
could reply to the person that requested a sensory friendly market and say that the market has
some ideas to address this for next year but the music and vendors and are already set up for
fiscally for this season.
Any Other New Business to Come Before the Committee.
2.
Mr. Thorne announced that he will be resigning from the Committee. Mr. Thorne will continue
through December/January and help get the new Treasurer acclimated.
Chairperson Ball said she still has Community groups applying and an interested Junior Vendor.
Mr. Thorne asked if there used to be a Junior who took photos at the Market. Chairperson Ball
confirmed that but said he moved to Hawaii. Mr. Thorne said if the Committee felt photos were
valuable then Market funds could be used to hire a photographer.
