REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES  
Motion to APPROVE Regular Meeting Minutes from July 9, 2024, as written.  
Motion to APPPROVE with the following amendments:  
On page 2, on the second to the last paragraph beginning with "DEEP & Natural Resources  
Conservation, add to second sentence - Water pollution from from impaired septic systems  
and sewer treatment systems does not qualify ...  
On page 2, in the last paragraph that starts "The Lantern Hill Valley .." replace with "The  
Lantern Hill Valley Alliance is now in the process of applying for a 501c3.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS

On August 8th, Chairman Marelli attended the Ledyard Planning and Zoning meeting to hear  
discussions regarding the 18-lot Stoddard's Wharf development. The discussion was postponed  
until the Special meeting on August 22, 2024.  
Chairman Marelli also attended the Inland Wetlands and Watercourse's Commission meeting.  
No action was taken on the Stoddard's Wharf proposal. Inland/Wetlands is proposing new  
regulations to expand the scope of regulated activities on septic systems.  
On August 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. the Inland/Wetlands Watercourse Commission will be holding  
a site walk at the Sweet Water Farms proposed subdivision on Military Highway.  
Chairman Marelli reported that Avalonia was awarded a grant to purchase the Rawley property;  
223 acres at 148 Stoddards Wharf Road (Route 214), which Mr. Holdridge said is good news for  
the nearby Tri-Town Trail.  
On August 28th, Chairman Marelli will attend meeting of the Alliance for the Mystic River  
Watershed. The meeting will be held via zoom and open to the public.
