The Regular Meeting was called to order by Chairman Marelli at 6:30 p.m.

REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES  
Motion to APPROVE Regular Meeting Minutes from December 10, 2024, as written.  
Approved as amended - add Ms. Edgecomb to affirmative votes under motion to approve slate of  
Officers, making it 7 ayes.

CORRESPONDENCE  
Correspondence.  
- Burton Property maps are in.  
- Gary Paul has resigned from the Town Council and will no longer be the Commission’s  
liaison.  
- Mayor Allyn III found old maps of White-Hall property will help complete the historical record  
and will be helpful when looking future planning and grant requests.  
- 232 people responded to the Long Island Sound Study and the State is now working on water  
quality modeling. The State will hold workshops and reach out to the public this summer.  
- The Public Works Department is looking into storm water run-off at rain gardens.  
- Commissioner Cohen has been asked to be part of the Avalonia Advisory Group which is  
tasked with bringing access to open spaces to the under-served, amongst other things.

PUBLIC COMMENTS  
Public Comments.  
Kevin Blacker of 11 Church St., Noank, farms on land on Shewville Road in Ledyard.  
Mr. Blacker talked about concerns regarding possible pollution of ground water and Mystic  
watershed because of the proposed sewer expansion and bike trail project in Ledyard; economic  
incentives to upstream towns to maintain healthy watershed; voice support for Cashman project  
in Gales Ferry; and what he believes are leaking sewer pipes in Ledyard.  
Chairman Marelli advised the Commission members to watch the December meeting video of  
the Ledyard WPCA to get an understanding of proposed projects in Town.

Chairman Marelli now has a template for annual budget request from the Town Council.  
Chairman Marelli will also send a memo to the Town Council reminding it to keep unspent  
money in Conservation Commission’s budget.
