OLD BUSINESS
Future Projects Discussion.
School Mural Project - No updates.
Rock Lizard - September 14, 10:30 a.m. at the Bill Library. No pre-registration is required. Ms.
Eastbourne asked for volunteers. She added that the event information was published in the
Town's Event's magazine. Chairperson Kohrs posted the event on the Committee's Facebook
page and will post a few more times prior to the event. Pictures will be taken at the event to
share on Facebook.
Breakfast Fundraiser - Chairperson Kohrs said it wasn't the best turnout due to the Holiday
weekend and the rain, but it was still worthwhile. She thanked everyone who participated.
Farmer's market - Chairperson Kohrs said that the next one that the Committee is scheduled to
attend is September 4th. Ms. Bingham said she could set up the table and Ms. Schneider said she
could be at the market for 4:00 p.m. The theme is "Back to School".
Veteran's Day - Ms. Hawes spoke with Thirty Marketing about options and pricing for the
Veteran's signs. For generic road signs the cost is $30.00 each. For more personalized signs the
cost is $40.00. The personalized signs could include the Veterans and even sponsor names.
There is also an option to use stickers so the signs could be reused. Chairperson Kohrs said it
would be best to use the personalized signs without stickers even though the cost is more it
would be worth it. Ms. Bingham suggested having an interest sign-up sheet during the farmer's
market, the other Committee members agreed. Thirty Marketing may give discounts if their
logos are placed on the signs. If there is an additional cost for Thirty Marketing to design the
signs, then the Committee would do the design to save money. Chairperson Kohrs will get more
details from Thirty Marketing. Discussion was held as to whether to charge $5.00 extra per sign
as a fundraiser for the Committee for future projects. Ms. Eastbourne said she would not want to
do a fundraiser for this event, she would rather the Committee just show appreciation for
Veterans since it is a big Military Town. It was decided that if a fundraiser markup is included
then the Committee should explain where exactly the money would be used. Some ideas are a
military plaque, a new flag and/or pole for the Library or fixing up an existing military space in
town, or street pole banners. Chairperson Kohrs spoke to Mayor Allyn, III about the Veteran
Sponsor project and he was supportive of the idea.
Motion to MOVE forward with Thirty Marketing to sell $45.00 custom Veteran signs, $5.00 of
which would go towards a Committee American flag street pole banners fundraiser, authorizing
a $100.00 deposit if necessary.

Ms. Christiansen reminded the Committee about the Rotary Grant. Chairperson Kohrs will
submit the application.
There was a concern that DOT may remove the signs, and the Veterans wouldn't receive them
after the event. Chairperson Kohrs will speak to Mayor Allyn again and try to get specifics in
writing. Also, she will find a contact person at the DOT to speak about this concern.
Ms. Christiansen suggested that the Committee advertise events on the Town's electronic board.
Maybe the Committee could advertise the "Sponsor a Veteran" event on the board. Chairperson
Kohrs will ask Kristen Chapman, Mayoral Executive Assistant.
