Updates:  
Mr. Novosad provided information he obtained while attending a statewide America 250  
Meeting. Mr. Novosad stated that CTVisit is where all of the America 250 events will be posted.  
Connecticut will be hosting a Recommitment Ceremony for the Declaration of Independence;  
the State would like one dignitary from each town to attend and resign the declaration of  
independence. The state is also planning a statewide bell ringing.  
Mr. Johnson stated that the Color Run has been rescheduled for May 24th, 2026, prior to the  
Memorial Day Parade.  
Mayor Fred Allyn III has moved the Historical Maps & Roaming exhibit to April.  
Mr. Lamb stated he will provide a John Deer Tractor and the wagon with hay for the America  
250 Memorial Day float. Mr. Novosad and Mr. Kelley stated that they have some colonial  
clothing. America 250 will have Red White and Blue Bunting, Mr. Kelley stated he can provide  
bunting from the Nathan Lester House.  
4th of July Event Update:  
Mayor Fred Allyn III suggested asking 2 food trucks to participate. Mr. Johnson volunteered to  
obtain a list of food trucks from the Ledyard Farmer's Market and reach out to check availability.  
Mr. Kelley confirmed the committee would want the food trucks at the event from 10am -2pm.  
Mr. Johnson stated that town van may not be available for transportation.  
Mr. Novosad and Mayor Fred Allyn III volunteered to seek musicians to provide live music.

Mr. Kelley and Mr. Lamb suggested creating an opportunity for town residents to record audio  
memories and reflections about the community, to be incorporated into the Fourth of July  
celebration and potentially used for the Town's time capsule.
